As ausências de peso de Lahm, Klose, Reus e muitos outros constitui um revés para os campeões mundiais. Lahm e Klose retiraram-se da selecção e Reus teve o azar a bater-lhe à porta por falhar mais uma competição devido a lesão.
Com um plantel recheado de craques, a Alemanha tem na sua organização, dinâmica e identidade as suas principais armas. Muller assume o papel de jogador talismã em fases finais, na qualificação fez 9 dos 24 golos apontados. Um dos jogadores mais inteligentes da actualidade.

Lafferty é o jogador mais desta selecção com 7 golos em 16. O avançado do Norwich City de 28 anos é a referência ofensiva de um conjunto que procura continuar a escrever história.

Os impressionantes 33 golos apontados em apenas 10 jogos, são o grande cartão de visita desta selecção orientada por Adam Nawalka. Ofensivamente, um dos conjuntos mais temíveis da prova.
Quem tem Lewandowski tem tudo. O avançado fez 42 golos em 46 jogos pelo Bayern Munique esta temporada e foi o melhor marcador da qualificação com 13 golos. Chega ao Euro com a confiança máxima.

Ucrânia: A selecção comandada por Mykhaylo Formenko beneficiou do alargamento do Europeu para 24 equipa. A Ucrânia terminou em 3º na fase de grupos e teve de ultrapassar a Eslovénia no play-off para carimbar a viagem até França.
Com apenas 5 golos sofridos em 12 jogos, os ‘amarelos-azuis’ chegam com o estatuto de defesa organizada e com capacidade para anular as ofensivas contrárias. Uma selecção jovem e com muitos valores individuais.
Apesar da boa consistência no sector mais recuado, é na frente que a Ucrânia tem os seus melhores elementos. Yarmolenko e Konoplyanka são dois extremos que podem decidir partidas a qualquer momento. Muita atenção ao jogo exterior deste conjunto.
